We Believe

Gethsemane Ministries International transcends the conventional notion of a worship space; as followers of Christ, we stand on the firm foundation of Scripture, cherishing its authority, relevance, and transformative power in our lives. In this statement of faith, we seek to articulate the fundamental beliefs that unite us as a body of believers, guiding our worship, service, and witness to the world. Our core conviction centers on our believe in the following:

  • The one True God

Our faith is rooted in the belief in the one true God, who has revealed Himself as the eternally Self-existent, self-revealed "I AM" (Exodus 3:14). Scripture further reveals God as embodying the principles of relationship and association by simultaneously existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19).

  • The Baptism in the Holy Spirit

All believers are entitled to and should ardently expect and earnestly seek the promise of the Father, the baptism in the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:4-5). With the Holy Spirit comes the endowment of power for life and service (Acts 1:8), through the bestowment of spiritual gifts for use in the work of the ministry (1 Corinthians 12:4-11).

  • The Gifts of the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit manifests through a variety of spiritual gifts to build and sanctify the church (1 Corinthians 12:7-11), to demonstrate the validity of the resurrection (1 Corinthians 12:28), and to confirm the power of the Gospel (Hebrews 2:4).

  • The Authority of the Scriptures

The Scriptures are verbally inspired by God and are complete revelations of His will for the salvation of men (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

  • Salvation

Man is saved by confessing and forsaking his sins, and believing on the Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 10:9-10), becoming a child of God, being born again and adopted into the family of God (John 1:12), and may claim the inheritance of the sons of God, namely the baptism of the Holy Ghost (Acts 2:38-39).

  • The Church

The Church is the body of Christ (Ephesians 1:22-23), the habitation of God through the Spirit (Ephesians 2:22), with divine appointments for the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).

  • The Second Coming of Christ

We believe in the second coming of Christ (Matthew 24:30-31).

  • The Blood of Jesus

The blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the Cross of Calvary, is sinless and completely sufficient to cleanse mankind of all sin (1 John 1:7).

  • Divine Healing and Miracles

Divine healing and miracles are given as signs to follow believers (Mark 16:17-18), a part of Jesus' work on the Cross (Isaiah 53:5), and one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:9).

  • Stewardship

All blessings, temporal and spiritual, come from God (James 1:17), and all that we have and are, we owe to Him (1 Chronicles 29:14).

May this statement of faith serve as a beacon of truth, illuminating our path and drawing us closer to the heart of God as we strive to fulfill His purposes in the world.
